La Marina Preschool and Child Care Center

Kindergarten

We offer a very excellent all-day Kindergarten Program here at La Marina Preschool and Kindergarten Academy. The hours of this program are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, but student may come as early as 6:30 am and stay until 6:00 pm.

La Marina provides an enriching environment that is sensitive to individual’s needs. Our smaller classes allow our Kindergarten teacher to be specifically attentive to individual students while providing additional guidance in specific learning areas. Our Kindergarten Program is a very academic and a well-rounded program, with a small class size of approximately 12 students.

Additionally, the Kindergarten students have outside field trips (Art Museum, Live Theatrical and Musical performance) and other special events throughout the school year.

Reviewing Children’s Progress

The most important communication occurs daily between teachers and parents during drop-off and pick-up times. In addition, you’ll get a monthly newsletter and our program outline. There are two scheduled parent-teacher conference throughout the school year. Kindergarten report cards are completed and sent home three times during the school year. Last but not least, you will have the chance to review your child’s portfolio containing completed work and journal writings.

This was just an overview of what our Kindergarten program has to offer. Our graduating students continually place in the upper percentile of the class when they enter the First grade in Public or Private school. Please feel free to contact the office if you have any further questions. We truly hope that we have inspired you to consider our program.
